An Unwelcome Anniversary

David Horsey gets it just about right in today's Seattle P-I (h/t to Buffoon for the link). On this, the fourth anniversary of the misguided and disingenuous "Mission Accomplished" speech, the only thing this administration has "accomplished" in Iraq is the creation of chaos, the destruction of lives and property, the ongoing and growing enmity of the people who live there and of most thinking people around the world, the abject loss of faith in our own government by the American people, the war profiteering that saved Halliburton from certain bankruptcy as the result of policies put in place by Dick Cheney when he was CEO there and the criminal mismanagement of the reconstruction effort.

Come to think of it, that's quite an accomplishment.
