Come on, People, Smile on Your Brother, Everybody Get Together and Let's Drink a Shitload of Beer with One Another Right Now

Speaking of BARBARians, it's getting to be that time again: the collective thirst of the Bay Area Resident Bloggers And Readers must be slaked. We're gathering at Jupiter on Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley next week, Wednesday, April 13, to imbibe, talk politics and current events, perhaps tell a few lies or compare Living Wills... you know, the usual. Any and all Bay Area folks interested in blogging, politics or barley and hops are invited to attend. Rumor has it that at least one new member of the loosely-affiliated consortium known as BARBARians will make her presence known that evening. Invited but unable to attend is the proprietor of the blog Miniver Cheevy, who sends his regrets and hopes to join us at a future date.

On a bittersweet note, this may be the last get-together with our esteemed colleague John from Blogenlust, who, unfortunately for us but probably fortunately for him, is about to move to New York City. We'll be sure to keep an open seat at the table for him in future gatherings, crossing our fingers that he can use some frequent flyer miles to come back out to the West Coast and join us again on occasion.
